Can you have a calendar on WhatsApp?
Not natively. WhatsApp is not a personal calendar: it does not store your appointments or warn you before them. You can keep a calendar in a separate app and remember to open it, or chat with an assistant that plays that role by message, like Sofia. Each path has a price.
Calendar app
Complete, and great for seeing everything at once. But it makes you open it, fill in date, time and time zone, and it depends on you looking at it. With ADHD, the weak spot is usually that very step of opening and filling in.
Calendar by message (Sofia)
You write "dentist Thursday 3pm" and it is done; you ask "what's on tomorrow?" and she answers. The trade-off: she does not sync with Google Calendar or other apps. It is your own calendar inside ASB, not a mirror of the one you already use.
How do I book an appointment through WhatsApp?
Write to Sofia what, when and with whom, the way you would tell an assistant. She understands several appointments in one message, books each one and confirms. If you forget the time, she suggests one and asks you to correct it.
- Say "hi" to Sofia on WhatsApp.
- Write the appointment: what, when, with whom.
- Ask "what's on tomorrow?" whenever you like.
- Get the heads-up before and the summary every morning.
Changed your mind? "Move the meeting to 4pm" does it. No opening the event, hunting for the field and saving.
How does Sofia warn me before an appointment?
Each appointment gets a heads-up ahead of time, so you can leave with room to spare, and another if you do not reply. Every morning a summary also arrives with what is coming: appointments, tasks and what slipped from yesterday. If you struggle with time blindness, you know how much a "one hour to go" can change.
What does Sofia's calendar not do?
She does not access your Google Calendar, does not integrate with other apps, does not call you and does not send SMS. She also does not negotiate times with other people: she organizes what is yours. If you work with a shared calendar, use Sofia for the personal side and for being reminded.
I was the type who opened the calendar, filled everything in neatly and never looked at it again. I built ASB so the calendar is a conversation and the heads-up comes to me.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have a calendar on WhatsApp?
WhatsApp itself has no personal calendar that stores your appointments and warns you before them. What you can do is use an assistant that plays that role by message: write "dentist Thursday 3pm" to Sofia and she books it and warns you.
How do I book an appointment through WhatsApp?
Write the appointment to Sofia the way you would say it out loud: what, when and with whom. If the time is missing, she suggests one and asks you to correct it. There is no form with date, time and time zone.
Can I ask what is on my calendar?
Yes. Questions like "what's on tomorrow?", "when is the dentist?" or "am I free Friday afternoon?" are answered in the chat itself, without opening any app.
Does Sofia sync with Google Calendar?
No. Sofia does not access your Google Calendar or other apps. Your appointments live with her, and you check and change them by message. If you depend on a shared work calendar, that remains the place for it.
Does she warn me before the appointment?
Yes. Each appointment gets a heads-up ahead of time, and Sofia asks again if you do not reply. On top of that, a summary arrives every morning with appointments, tasks and what slipped from the day before.
